The Kratovo City Museum was founded in 1993 and today is a municipal institution that takes care of the movable and immovable cultural heritage of the Kratovo region where Kratovo represents a museum-city.

Since 2008, the Clock Tower has been assigned to the museum, one of the six towers that survived from the medieval and Turkish period of the city. The museum has ethnological, archaeological, historical and conservation departments.
