The history of this group traces its roots to the time when Kratovo was a wealthy trading and mining center. As a formal ensemble, it was established in the second half of the 20th century, often functioning under the local Cultural Center "Lazar Sofijanov".

Today

The tradition continues with "Kratovo Tamburashi" - an ensemble that carries Kratovo melodies to international competitions and festivals.
